Self's character thinking instructions
This is SelfBs charachter motivations and actions instruction block.
Here are some example instruction blocks that allow your characters to have more motivation and thinking with regard to their actions. Each instruction block adds a little more functionality and will give you different results. Each one can be inserted in to the main instructions, a separate instruction block or integrated in to other instruction blocks. I have included character limits for some of these, since some models can be very verbose.

Include White space and punctuation in all character counts, Character count limitations should be strictly adhered to
This is a simple block, it will have each char think about the scene and give flavour to the upcoming turns. It's relatively cheap to implement.
In addition to any instructions for the use of secret information Create a short paragraph of no more than 300 characters for each other human character present, but not the player character, in the scene (removing characters not in the scene). Include the thoughts and feelings of those characters, in their own voice from their own point of view, using only the information those characters would have access to. Keeping in mind the things that they could reasonably assume and know, based on what they have seen and the knowledge that those other characters have.
This next block includes space for advanced thinking for all characters. They should each form a plan, and they will have a larger influence over the following turn.
Each other character should also create a plan or likely action for the next turn, in their own words, taking into account their character traits and desires. This should be in brackets, with the plan or proposed action in brackets, these are known as npcPlans npcPlans should look like this example: [Kiras plan: To steal bread from the baker if they're not looking] When writing outcomeDescription, playerAction should be considered with npcPlans, this should be used to write the outcome description. Remembering not to write in the outcome description any actions that the player might not know about. This can result in times when npcPlans override playerAction in the outcomeDescription
This next instruction block expands further, and gives a particular named character the ability to form plans and consider them. You could do this for each NPC, but this would get quite costly.

Keeping in mind the things that they could reasonably assume and know, based on what they have seen and the knowledge that those other characters have. A Paragraph for [CHARACTER NAME], of at least 400, but no more than 700 characters, in their own voice, as an internal monologue. Creating plans, assessing situations. Create an npcPlan for [CHARACTER NAME]. [CHARACTER NAME] must come up with 3 plans that are different, based on their needs, priorities, and goals. [CHARACTER NAME] must then choose 1 plan from those 3, and in act it next turn, this chosen plan is how [CHARACTER NAME] will push their story forward Each other character should also create a plan or likely action for the next turn, in their own words, taking into account their character traits and desires.
This section lets NPCs interact in the background, off-screen. It can get quite expensive, but adds a tonne of depth to stories where you want the NPCs to do things in secret. This example is based around a setting with a set number of characters, and so it will need a bit of adapting for the best use in your world.

Also include the actions, activities, and interactions for the character. This should detail where characters are and what they are doing with each other, including activities that the player character may not know about, or actions they may wish to hide from the player character.
